Lloyd Morris Jones, born 26th October 1937.
Lloyd Jones has been associated with approximately 75 productions at La Mama Theatre, mostly works he has devised and directed. Lloyd has also worked as a director and designer at La Mama Courthouse, The Becket Theatre, Napier Street Theatre, Fortyfive Downstairs, North Melbourne Town Hall, Heide Gallery, Gabriel Gallery, Theatreworks, Universal Theatre, The Lion Centre and The Bakehouse Theatre in Adelaide, as well as site specific events at The Old Roller Skate Rink at Williamstown, Spencer Street Station, St Kilda Pier, a vintage London (double- decker) Bus, on the steps of The Metropolitan Museum in New York. His work is characterised by the involvement of large casts, minimally scripted, movement-based theatre, with themes responding to socio-political issues of the times.
